In May we celebrate Mom! With so many things to do in Delray, it will be very easy to make Mom feel special on her day. Matt Shipley is the co-founder of Community Greening and our City Person this month. He is a world traveled and educated environmentalist, as well as world class volunteer. His non-profit organization plants trees all around Palm Beach county including Delray Beach – and – also mentors and pays local minority teens to care for and plant trees. They are paid to travel around Palm Beach County, learn about green jobs and gain skills to enter the workforce! Read more about Matt and his incredible life City People.
We end the month of May honoring our fallen Heroes. Monday, May 31st is Memorial Day. Let’s take a moment out of our celebrations, barbecues, and beach time to remember the men and women that made the ultimate sacrifice.
