So here we are in Outstanding October where there has been a lot of Outstanding things happening and some people Standing Out.
I must begin with the Outstanding performance and WIN for our local heroine, Coco Gauff, who on September 9th, 2023, at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York won her first Grand Slam Title, the US Open! Seeded six at that time, she beat the number two seed Aryna Sabalenka in 3 sets. Outstanding performance, Outstanding result. She really is Standing Out in the tennis crowd! Congratulations Coco!!!

With a list of upcoming Festive Fall Events for All to Enjoy. Arts and crafts or trick or treats, there are many exciting events happening around our city for everyone to enjoy this month.

First Presbyterian Church of Delray Beach will unveil their 2023 offerings, at Holiday Bazaar at Holly House from Thursday, Oct. 26. Admission is free and you can choose from a myriad of treasures; jewelry, hand sewn items specifically crafted for the holidays, floral arrangements, special seasonal offerings, shell creations, and much more.
We introduce Tammie Sellman (in case you haven’t already met). She is our City Person this month and that’s because she does Outstanding things for our community. Sellman works tirelessly in her work at Wayside House, a treatment facility for women in recovery with a full continuum of care and in her volunteering capacity. There is also a special bond between Sellman and the Delray Beach Chamber. Read on to learn more.
