Just when you think it cannot get any better….Our August issue arrives and brings with it more Awesome stories of Awesome people doing Awesome things around our Awesome city. Along with the chance to catch some last-minute Awesome summer fun!!

Back to school is on the horizon so why not eke out the last of the summer with this lineup of entertainment? Sunset Concert Series: August 3 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Old School Square Pavilion or Second Annual Unity Fest: August 5 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Pompey Park.

There is still time to enjoy everything Delray Beach has to offer while the streets, restaurants, galleries, spa’s & shops, and beaches are still a little bit quieter. Soak up the atmosphere of the Free Concerts, Jazz on the Avenue, and outdoor movies!

Talking of Awesome people – Enjoy reading about Ariana Ciancio who sees the best in all people, regardless of their station in life or means of support. She is currently the Service Population Advocate for the Delray Beach Department and during her six years in this position she’s created CARES (Community Advocacy Response Education and Service) within the DBPD. CARES helps people seek treatment for substance use, mental health issues and homelessness. She sounds pretty Awesome to me!

To all those parents sending their children back to school….phew!!…. you made it!!… and to all those parents bidding farewell to their ‘not so little babies’ heading out to college….Trust me…you’ve got this…Just sit tight…It all works out in the end.

Until next month…Enjoy Awesome August.
