The 2022 Delray Beach Open by VITACOST.com is Serving Up Surprises!

The Delray Beach Open by VITACOST.com (https://yellowten-nisball.com/) is back and celebrating 30 years with a bang! The tournament, which is held February11-20 at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center on Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray Beach, is marking three decades in style. New events, food and beverage offerings and specialty nights are just some of the exciting enhancements this year’s tournament has in store! Let’s take a closer look at what the 2022 Delray Open is serving up this year.

The historic Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center has been a launching pad for stardom, an arena for the game’s elite to raise the trophy and a theater for Hall of Fame stars to continue wag-ing friendly tennis war. Confirmed 2022 Delray Beach Open by VI-TACOST.com participants include: Sebastian Korda, Reilly Opelka, Frances Tiafoe, Cameron Norrie and Nick Kyrgios in the Main Draw action; Bob and Mike Bryan, Luke and Murphy Jensen, James and Thomas Blake, Jesse Levine, Tommy Haas, Jan-Michael Gambill, and Scoville Jenkins in the Champions Tour Tournament; and Boynton Beach resident Leylah Fernandez, who was runner-up at the 2021 US Open, making her Delray Beach Open debut playing in the tournament’s first-ever mixed doubles match.

“Incredible to think we’re saying farewell to three decades of the Delray Beach Open, but it feels like we’re just starting at the same time,” said John Butler, Executive Director of The Delray Beach Open by VITACOST.com. “There’s so much enthusiasm in the team behind the event and it’s driven by a desire to continue evolving for the fans, the city, the sponsors and the players. We want everyone to have a greater passion for the game after being here, whether they’re someone who plays daily or someone who comes for the first time…because it’s the scene to be at.”

The all outdoor, fun in the winter sun event isn’t just a spectator show, there are opportunities for fans to take to the courts themselves. The 10-day combined event kicks off with the Mixed Doubles Mega-Mixer on the morning of Friday, February 11. The event, hosted by Ken and Jeanette Rubin, allows attendees to mix and mingle while playing a one-of-a-kind mixed doubles mixer in a round-robin format! Participants also receive a Stadium Court box seat for that evening session to watch the opening night of ATP Champions Tour legends matches. ATP Champions Tour legends tournament continues throughout opening weekend February 11-13 and features a field of the game’s fan-favorite stars. The ever-popular Legends Clinic will be held on Saturday morning, Feb. 12, offering budding tennis pros the opportunity to be coached by tennis legends in an exclusive and extremely limited clinic. Participants also receive two Stadium Court Box seats for the day’s matches, Premier Parking, Bagels and Schmears and Delray Beach Gift bag. Also on Saturday, Love Serving Autism will welcome Delray Beach Open’s tennis pros volunteering to host a clinic for local individuals with Autism and invites their families to join the fun during the opening weekend of the tournament. General Admission tickets will be provided to all volunteers and participating families in the clinic.

On Sunday morning, February 13, the ATP Doubles Pro-Am event offers participants of the VIP experience receive pro-am spots, two Stadium Court Box seats for the Day session matches, food vouchers to the food courtyard, premier parking, gift bag and professional photos. Singles and doubles ATP 250 main draw action fielding today’s top tennis talent starts Valentine’s Day, Monday February 14, and concludes with the ATP 250 finals on Sunday, February 20.

Senior Days will offer attendees 55+ ‘Buy 1, Get 1 Free’ tickets on box and reserved seats on Saturday, February 12, Monday, February 14 and Wednesday, February 16.

Off-court offerings start with expanded food and beverage options including the Raeburn Winery Wine and Champagne Lounge, VIP courtside tables and bottle service, Little Italy Italian Café, the Dano’s Tequila Craft Cocktail, and Barrel of Monks Beer Garden with bar games and live music and the Grey Goose Tilted Bar, home of the tournament’s official cocktail, the Grey Goose Pineapple Slice. But that’s just the beginning of what’s in store!
The VIP Reception, presented by Lilly Pulitzer, will be held on Tuesday evening, February 16. The annual ‘ultimate mixer’ is a private event where Delray Beach Open by VITACOST.com’s partners and VIP’s can enjoy culinary offerings by Akira Back, Johnnie Brown’s, Ember Grill and Lionfish, and spirits by Grey Goose, Raeburn Winery and Dano’s Tequila as they schmooze and groove in the tournament’s on-site Hospitality Pavilion, located just steps from the tennis center’s Stadium Court.

In partnership with Grey Goose Vodka, USTA Florida, Delray Beach Pride Inc. and SFTC Clay Court Classic, the Delray Beach Open has announced PRIDE Night on Wednesday, February 16 during Session 10. PRIDE Night will help kick off the Clay Court Classic, an LBGTQ tournament in Fort Lauderdale starting February 17 attracting close to 150 players from all over the United States.

Ladies Day Luncheons will return on Wednesday, February 16 and Thursday, February 17. Sponsored by Lucky in Love, Raeburn Winery, Grey Goose Vodka and Hungbloodies, the luncheons offer wine, raffle prizes, Lucky in Love gifts and tickets to that day’s Stadium Court matches.

The 15th annual Chamber Bash, an exclusive networking event held in the fashionable Hospitality Pavilion, will be held on Wednesday, February 16 and includes culinary delights provided by Los Bocados, Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar, Ziree Thai & Sushi, That’s Amore, wines by Raeburn Winery and beer samples from Barrel of Monks Brewery.

On Thursday, February 17, the Red Meat Lover’s Club, in partnership with the Delray Beach Open by VITACOST.com, will host the all-new Meatballs and Tennis Balls – A Night of Beef event. The evening’s festivities will pit local restaurants against each other to determine who has the best meatball in South Florida. Brulé, M.E.A.T. Eatery, Prezzo, Rose’s Daughter, RaRa’s, Runyon’s, and Windy City Pizza are just some of the participants who’ll be competing for the title. The inaugural event will feature unlimited passed meat-centric apps and meatball stations provided by VIP Caterers. Various cocktails will be provided by the event’s esteemed beverage sponsors, including Negroni’s by Sipsmith Gin. All proceeds from Meat-balls and Tennis Balls will benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

The always-sold-out Game, Set, Pour will return with general and VIP access on Friday, February 18. Billed as ‘The Ultimate Pairing Event,’ Game, Set, Pour will take place at the tournament’s on-site Hospitality Pavilion and will feature offerings from Kapow!, Rocco’s Tacos, Sundy House, Los Bocados, Deck 84, Pagoda Kitchen, American Icon Brewery, Barrel of Monks Brewing, Boca Raton Prosperity Brewers, Sipsmith London, Raeburn Winery, Dano’s Tequila, and more. The Delray Beach stop on the global ATP Tour annually plays in front of over 60,000 fans in addition to reaching television audiences in over 50 countries over the course of 10 days.
