Starks Barber Company is a newcomer to the male grooming industry in Delray Beach. They opened a year ago in a quiet serene section of Pineapple Grove, and so far, they’ve been knocking it out of the ballpark.
Jason Stark planned it that way. He has been working in barbershops since he was 17-years-old. But he still remembers getting his head shaved by his grandfather when he was a child.
You could say absence makes the heart grow fonder. What he lacked in barber shop visits as a child he’s more than made up for. Jason has been cutting hair for 20 years, and the last 13 were in a local Delray Barbershop. It is there that he learned about business and success from clients.
“I watched my clients open up successful businesses over the years and they’ve shared great business knowledge with me. When I opened this shop, I wanted to create a space where the staff can be the best version of themselves.”
To ensure that happens Jason teaches them how to use and build credit. He also discusses the concept of branding and business development. To make sure everyone in his shop is up to date on trends and new products, he takes classes and attends shows.
And so far it’s working.
The barbershop is thriving and clients can’t rave enough about the workmanship and grooming. “I had one of the best haircuts in years! The attention to detail and craftsmanship was awesome. This place is super clean and bright with a laidback vibe in Pineapple Grove. I highly recommend them,” said Michael S.
Jason is adamant that they offer more than just a haircut. Instead,he said “We are an upscale, full service barber shop offering the highest quality grooming. We offer everything from traditional scissor cuts and hot shaves to detailed fades and trendy new styles.”
His client and friend, Jose, has known Jason for ten years, and is one of his loyal clients. He comes every week and considers the visit part grooming and part friend catch-up.
“I get a detail skin fade with hard part. I really like this shop because it’s clean, comfortable and professional. We get to talk, it’s better than therapy and saves me money on my health insurance,” he joked.
Jose knows what he wants in a haircut and is positive that Jason will deliver. “I get the best haircut here. Jason knows what I like, which is longer on the top and shorter on the side. I come from Boca, but it’s worth the trip.”
For clients who want to make a statement about their life and loves via their hair, there is Hair Design. Barber Alejandro is the chief hair design pro that will print anything on your head. Popular designs are dragons, flowers, lines, graffiti, and favorite sports teams.
Stark’s also specializes in detailed fades and trendy new styles. “We can confidently say that we will give you the best haircut you’ve ever had.”
Nick would tend to agree.
“I’ve been going to Jason for the last 10 years and hands down he gives the best cut in South Florida. It doesn’t matter what you need, Jason is the man. The shop is super clean, friendly and always has a great atmosphere. I would drive a couple hours away to get a cut instead of going anywhere else.”
Stark’s also has two female stylist barbers that found their true passion in men’s grooming. They fit perfectly into this laid back stylish shop with the white exposed brick and black barber chairs.
Samantha specializes in men’s color, full scissor haircuts, fades, styling, braiding, eyebrow shaping and shampoo with scalp massages. “I came from South New Jersey and I wouldn’t want to work anywhere but here.”
Jade feels the same way. The upstate New York native special-izes in men’s color, full scissor haircuts, fades, styling and shampoo with scalp massage.

He’s right. They have five flat screen TVs and a local authentic vibe that fits into the comfortable design of this grooming hotspot. They also sell shaving and hair grooming products.
