Movies, Bowling, Arcade Games… Food And More At Paragon Theaters And Penny Lanes

Owners Michael Whalen and Michael Wilson understand that people want to enjoy their spare time (and vacation) to the max. They also know that going to the movies – or bowling – should be a luxurious yet comfortable experience.

But, the past few years people have been enjoying themselves with premium TV and movies channels while indulging in gourmet meals at home. As for bowling, it was something everyone had on hold for a while.

But life has sprung back into action, and Whalen and Wilson knew they had to up their game to get people excited to go out to the movies and bowl a few games. They also knew that everyone has a kid inside of them just waiting to get out. That’s why they enhanced this sensory explosion of goodies to include sophisticated arcade games, augmented reality bowling and the latest in movie viewing technology.

To call Paragon Theaters luxurious is an understatement. Being inside one of their 12 theaters at Delray Marketplace is like reaching for – and attaining – nirvana. The exclusive Lux Box VIP Dine-In seats are luxurious, have private heated reclining seats, and are separated from general admission seats. They’re called the ‘best seats in the house,’ because they provide privacy with a bit of VIP celebrity styling. They also have retractable tray tables with QR codes that give you the option to have upscale dine-in service before and during the film.

You can dine with ease (while watching the film) with food delivered directly from their restaurant and bar, The Agency Kitchen & Bar. All you do is scan a QR code from your mobile phone and the server knows exactly where to bring your food or drinks. You can order during the pre-show or anytime during the film with no interruptions.

There is more to this luxury movie experience that will excite your senses and calm you down from anything life throws at you. They have a huge IMAX screen (the only one in Palm Beach County) with upgraded Laser Projection and a new sound system that rivals that of premium concerts. As a matter of fact, this is one of the only dine-in IMAX locations in the country.

Paragon Theaters is also home to a state-of-the-art movie screen known as the Axis15 Extreme. This screen – that’s wall-to-wall – has a 15-degree tilt that gives the viewer the luxury of relaxation and entertainment. It also has Dolby Atmos® immersive sound, 4k Laser Projection, and features their exclusive Lux Box VIP Dine-In Seating privacy.
If you’re looking for a more active form of entertainment, try their technology-driven bowling center, Penny Lanes. This digital bowling experience is not what you ever thought bowling would be. There are 16 lanes that take the digital age and combine it with the game to create a sensory extravaganza.

You get the comfort of a luxury bowling suite with plush leather lounges and big-screen TVs. It also features Sync Gamified Bowl-ing; interactive games and scoring themes that are colorful and tech-driven to engage your senses and your skill.

An added perk is their Spark augmented reality VIP bowling. This dynamic ball-lane interaction has colorful displays and animations projected onto the lane that follows your ball as it rolls.

This vibrant interactive background will create any mood you seek. The augmented-reality bowling experience is so exciting it’s best to reserve a lane in advance (online) to guarantee you get a space. Don’t forget, all Penny Lanes guests can order food and have it brought to your lane while bowling.

To round out this ‘ultimate entertainment destination’ is a full-scale Penny Lanes Arcade. If you think that games are for kids, think again. There are over 40 arcade games with video and scoring components that will thrill you, and your kids. All you need is one refillable Arcade Game Card and you can play all day and redeem tickets. There are virtual reality games and redemption games.

They even have the latest video game craze, Playbox, a multi-player digital video game (for up to 5 players at a time). It has a 16’ long digital screen with 6 to 8 rotating games. It has been called the modern-day digital version of a Carnival Midway Game.

Amidst all the activity (within Penny Lanes) is a terrific restaurant and bar called The Agency Kitchen & Bar. The food is excellent and they have a seasonal menu of local handcrafted food and drinks. There is a full selection of craft beer, assorted wines from local wineries, breweries and unique cocktails. There are also hand-tossed pizzas, street tacos and unique appetizers.

Included in this food fare are football and sporting menu’s, rotating seasonal menu’s, indoor and outdoor seating, and bar seating. There are also different screens in the restaurant so you can watch sporting events and games. But remember, you have the luxury of ordering food from your Lux Box VIP Dine-In movie Seats or Penny Lanes Seating.

“Paragon Theaters is the gold standard in movie-going with innovative Lux Box VIP Dine-in Seating, Axis15 Extreme tilted screens and IMAX with Laser projection and Dolby Atmos immersive sound. Mike and Mike have successfully built a ‘customer-first’ entertainment company with a diverse portfolio of excitement for the whole family,” says Jared Comess, VP of Marketing at Paragon.

Paragon Theaters and Penny Lanes are also wonderful for celebrations of all kinds, whether personal or business. You can create your own games and menus to fit the occasion.
