TO OUR EIGHTH ISSUE OF THE YEAR!
You may not know that Atlantic Ave Magazine celebrates its 20th anniversary in September how wonderful is that? To mark the occasion, we’re giving the magazine a fresh new look.
We’re currently trialling several updates to enhance the magazine’s appearance and overall reading experience. There may be a few teething problems, but we’re confident the changes will be worthwhile.
We’ve increased the font size for easier reading, refreshed the colour scheme for a cleaner, more modern feel, and refined the layout to make the magazine more engaging and accessible.
We hope you enjoy the changes, and we’ll continue to review and refine them as we move forward.
How is it already August—and midsummer? The year is flying by, and beating the heat is becoming a real challenge. But fear not: there are still plenty of ways to enjoy our city while staying cool.
Spending time on our pristine, award-winning beaches—especially when they’re less crowded—is a must. Arrive early, settle along the shoreline, watch the sunrise with an iced tea or coffee, browse Atlantic Ave Magazine, then enjoy a calm, refreshing swim in the ocean. It’s the perfect way to set your mind and focus for the day.
For another outdoor option, head west to Wakodahatchee Wetlands on S. Jog Road. I had never heard of it before, but I’m told these created wetlands feature a ¾-mile boardwalk with benches and gazebos for shaded breaks. Visitors can spot a wide variety of birds, along with possible sightings of alligators, turtles, fish, frogs and more. Best of all, it’s free and open to the public.
Keeping cool indoors here in Delray Beach is a little easier. You can choose from a myriad of places to keep you engaged, entertained and COOL!
The Arts Garage is a 14,000-sq-ft space that offer live music, cabaret and exhibits and it’s fully air-conditioned!! Win-Win!
The Delray Beach Public Library is also super cool—and not just because of the temperature. Books first and foremost are my absolute favorite pastime, but the library also offer programs and classes for all ages.
