Each year The Delray Chamber of Commerce has their “We are Delray” extravaganza. It’s always a special time with special people.
And this year was no different.
A circus theme permeated Throw Social with Magic Shows, Jugglers, a Mime, a Sword Swallower and a Tarot Card Reader. There was popcorn everywhere and finger food perfect for the circus, or a tamer nightscape honoring those who serve the city and the Delray Beach Chamber.
Before the winners of the Business Person of the Year, Nonprofit of the Year, Crystal Palm Award, Business of the Year and Chamber Member of the Year were announced there were raffle tickets to purchase. Prizes ranged from two beach cruisers to a paddle board, a half-page ad in Atlantic Ave Magazine, a treadmill, hotel stays, restaurant gift cards, spa products, home services, and more.
Proceeds from the raffle enable the Delray Chamber to continue growing and support businesses, non-profits and others in the community.
The awards ceremony is always a time of jubilation and expectation. And a time to honor those who make a difference.
This years’ winners were Chuck Halberg for Business Person of the Year, CROS Ministries for Nonprofit of the Year, Noreen Payne received the Crystal Palm Award, Delray Dermatology and Cosmetic Center won for Business of the Year, Tammie Sellman was Chamber Member of the Year as well as Adam Nelson.
“The Greatest Chamber on Earth” put on the Greatest party of the year. We congratulate the winners and those who show up to support the city of Delray Beach and the Delray Chamber of Commerce.
