Delray Beach resident Chuck Halberg and about 40 friends delivered complete Thanksgiving Day dinners to police, firefighters, and ocean rescue teams in Delray Beach.
It’s all part of Halberg’s 11th Annual Delray Beach Citizens Thanksgiving Day Dinner for Fire & Police fundraiser, which raised over $21,000 from 162 local families and businesses.
Halberg, who is president of Delray Beach Citizens for Delray Po-lice and owns Stuart & Shelby Home Builders in Delray Beach, ral-lies his friends and neighbors each year to donate $100 per family to the cause.
100% of the money raised pays for the Thanksgiving dinners. Extra funds and food are donated to local nonprofit Eat Better Live Better, EJS Project, and Coming Back to Give nonprofits.
