PYFROM & REISLER: Helping Families Find Harmony During The Holidays

With the holidays approaching, now is the perfect time for divorced parents, blended families, and split households to create thoughtful time-sharing plans to ensure positive memories for their children.

Attorneys Cynthia Pyfrom, Esq. and Jennifer Reisler, Esq. of Py-from & Reisler, P.A. are guiding families to make co-parenting seamless and stress-free this holiday season. They refer to Florida Statute 61.13(3), which outlines the factors courts consider when determining co-parenting and time-sharing arrangements.

“We understand the emotional toll and real-life challenges clients face in divorce, timesharing disputes, and other family law matters. We try to help foster healthy relationships between the parents. It’s important for co-parents to communicate and keep the peace, espe-cially during the holiday season,” said Cynthia.

“We advise our clients to make the holidays fun for the kids; it is not a competition. It’s important to encourage the child to enjoy themselves at the other parent’s house and to tell them they are lucky to be able to celebrate holidays twice,” said Jennifer, who recommended AppClose, a parenting communication app for parents going through divorce or split households.

Cynthia and Jennifer are united by a shared vision. Their collaboration is a hallmark of their practice— regularly consulting and offering each other insight to ensure every client receives comprehensive, well-rounded legal representation. They also believe in maintaining a work-life balance, recently taking time off to celebrate Jennifer’s birthday with a group trip to Spain before the busy holiday season.

The duo has created a strong synergy that benefits clients seek-ing more than just legal representation; clients receive true advo-cacy from a team that prioritizes family well-being over financial gain. Together, they bring over two decades of experience to their practice, offering a wealth of knowledge, strategies, and a personal-ized approach.

Cynthia has worked in various fields of law over the years; however, in 2005 she took her first family law paralegal job at a firm handling exclusively family law litigation cases. Cynthia truly enjoyed learning family law and found that the opportunity to assist people through one of the most difficult and emotionally vulnerable times of their lives was the most rewarding experience of her legal career. Cynthia attended Nova Southeastern University in Davie beginning in August of 2009 as a student in the Evening Division while still maintaining full-time employment as a paralegal at a family law firm. Over the next three and a half years, Cynthia would attend law school at night and over the summer breaks to ultimately graduate in December of 2012. Cynthia was voted by her peers to be the Student Speaker at her graduation, which was a true

honor. Cynthia sat for the Florida Bar exam in February of 2013, passed, and was sworn in as a licensed Florida attorney in April that same year. In January of 2014, Cynthia opened her own law firm of Cynthia M. Pyfrom, P.A. and has pursued her passion of help-ing people ever since.

Outside of her legal career, Jennifer’s passion is horses, which is what made her attend the University of Louisville for her undergraduate studies. At the University of Louisville, Jennifer competed on the Hunt Seat Equestrian Team and in local shows through graduation. After graduation, Jennifer spent approximately two years working in the equine industry as a professional showjumping groom and rider until she decided to go to law school. During her time as a professional showjumping groom, Jennifer had the opportunity to work for an Olympic rider in Wellington, Florida, which is when she first fell in love with South Florida. It was always her dream to live in Wellington and one day compete at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, which is what prompted her to attend law school at the University of Miami. During her first year of law school, Jennifer was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer, a life-changing event which forced her to undergo six months of chemotherapy treatment; however, Jennifer continued to attend law school full-time during her treatment, refusing to let cancer slow her down. She finished her last chemo treatment in July 2010 and has been cancer-free since then. After graduating cum laude from the University of Miami Law School in 2012, Jennifer passed the Florida Bar and began practicing that same year. From the outset of her legal career, Jennifer was a natural born litigator, and her practice remains focused on litigation today, particularly complex child-related issues. Jennifer also serves as a Guardian Ad Litem, as well as an attorney fee expert when called upon. Jennifer has been practicing exclusively in marital and family law since 2015 and has been board-certified in marital and family law since 2019. Jennifer opened her own law firm in August of 2022, before partnering with Cynthia in November of that same year. Jennifer prides herself on offering her clients accessible representation.
