Celebrating Five Years of Partnering with Purpose

This October, the Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce celebrates the 5th anniversary of Do Good Delray, a month-long initiative to unite nonprofit and for-profit members for partnership, philanthropy and community

First launched in 2021, Do Good Delray has become one of the Chamber’s most beloved traditions, pairing nonprofits with local businesses to host exciting events at Chamber Member locations. Each event blends fundraising with networking, while spotlighting the mission of local nonprofits.

“Celebrating our 5th year anniversary in 2025 is a BIG milestone for our Do Good Delray program,” said Lynn Van Lenten, Chair of the Chamber’s Nonprofit Council.

“We started with a group of nonprofit leaders, a dream, and a goal of partnering with purpose to make friends and funds for our local nonprofits. Five years later we are amazed at this program’s growth! Thousands have already gotten involved, this Village by the Sea has a VERY big heart.”

Starting with 14 events in 2021, Do Good Delray has expanded dramatically. Today over 24 partnerships and events are scheduled for October, with businesses and nonprofits collaborating to bring awareness, new supporters, and funding to causes throughout the community.

Do Good Delray has raised over $276,561 for participating nonprofits and welcomed over 8,500 attendees at local events.

This has helped nonprofits grow their network of donors, board members, volunteers and advocates.

While fundraising is vitally important, the program is equally focused on friendship and creating connections that extend beyond a single event.

Each Do Good Delray event is a collaboration between a nonprofit and a for-profit company. Together they create experiences that highlight local missions, showcase small businesses, and foster new community connections.

This years’ Headline Sponsors is Delray Orthodontics, VIP Sponsors are Chazin Company and Florida Power & Light and Marketing Sponsor is Planman Insurance.

Supporting Sponsors are UBS Lansing Hutcheon Wealth Management, Palermo’s Pay Junction and Paradise Everything Boating and P&S Promotional Specialties-Promo Girl, who created the 5th Anniversary Do Good Delray shirts.

“Teaming up with Tri-County Animal Rescue is always a highlight for us. It’s a fantastic way to spotlight local small businesses and nonprofits, who need the most support. Do Good Delray truly brings the community together to make a big impact,” said Amber Pollitt, Deck 84

Lisa Murphy of Open Hearts for Orphans also sees its golden hue. “Do Good Delray and the Chamber truly helped us bring our mission into the community and gave us a platform to collaborate with others. This initiative has been a blessing for us.”

“Do Good Delray has shown us what is possible when nonprofits and businesses come together,” said Sarah Mears, “It’s about more than raising funds, it’s about raising awareness, building connections, and strengthening the fabric of our community.”

Whether you’re a long-time supporter, a business looking to make a difference, or a resident searching for a cause close to your heart, there’s an event for you. Join the movement, meet new friends, and celebrate five years of Doing Good in Delray.
“We are so thankful for all the partners, sponsors, venues, and support of this mission. I am so proud of everyone involved and look forward to many years of doing good,” adds Van Lenten.

So is Mimi Haley Meister, of Charity Dynamics & Auctions.

“Do Good Delray has been instrumental in connecting The Soup Kitchen’s SAVOR THE HOPE event with community partner, The Warren. Pairing their mission with our community is magical.”
