April of 2020 was tough. All of 2020 was tough. Not one person was spared feeling the effects of the global pandemic. We didn’t know what we were about to endure, how long it would last, and how horrible it could be.
But look where we are today. A year later. Slowly and carefully, we are returning to restaurants, we are becoming social again, and enjoying activities that were cancelled!
Spring has sprung, clocks have moved forward an hour giving us more daylight to be outside! Have you visited the Delray GreenMarket lately? It’s time to go and pick up locally grown produce, and many more farm to table yummy treats. The GreenMarket is every Saturday from 9am to 2pm at the Old School Square Park and this year is their 25th anniversary!
Steve Leveen is our City Person this month. He volunteers teaching ESL to adults in the evenings, is a big supporter of the Delray Beach Library, the Achievement Centers for Children and Families, and is an accomplished writer! There’s so much more to this incredible philanthropist. Get to know him.
If you’re a live music lover like me, you’ve been missing concerts. Thankfully, concerts are back! Old School Square and the Arts Garage have something for everyone throughout the month of April. Check out Gotta Hear for dates, times, ticket prices, and performances.
