For Curtis Brown, real estate isn’t simply about buying and selling homes. It’s about helping people discover a lifestyle, make smart investments and build wealth for the future
Known throughout Palm Beach County as “Captain Curtis,” Brown has been in real estate business for 13 years. But those years add up to a lifetime of real estate dealings for him.
He was born and raised in Delray Beach and Ocean Ridge and understands the neighborhoods in a way that few realtors can.
“I feel that having an in-depth knowledge of Palm Beach County is important as a realtor,” said Brown. “I can help clients find the perfect property for a new home, a waterfront retreat or an investment property that meets their goals.”
Brown attended Gulf Stream School and Cardinal Newman High School before graduating from Lynn University. Long before becoming a realtor, he spent his days on the water as a charter boat captain. He developed a unique understanding of the Intracoastal Waterway, local marinas and waterfront communities.
Brown also met people who wanted to move to South Florida. “Many wanted to know where they could keep their boats, what areas fit their lifestyle and where they should invest.”

Whether discussing dockage, boating access, waterfront regulations or the value of Intracoastal and oceanfront properties, Brown brings firsthand experience to each transaction.
He helps homebuyers and investors find exceptional properties in Delray Beach, Ocean Ridge, Lantana, Hypoluxo Island and the surrounding coastal communities.
As a realtor with Hampton Real Estate Group, he specializes in waterfront homes, investment properties and luxury real estate.
His path into real estate began after college when he owned and operated bars and restaurants in the area.
“I was constantly looking at commercial spaces and leases,” he said. “I would talk with realtors all the time and the business came naturally to me.”
Brown purchased his first home in Delray at age 25, a property he still owns today. That early investment helped shape his understanding of the market and reinforced his belief that real estate is one of the best ways to build long-term wealth.
Today, Brown is representing Casa Marbella, a newly constructed water view home on Hypoluxo Island. The contemporary home, located at 824 W. Marbella Lane, features expansive indoor-outdoor living spaces, walls of glass and a resort-style pool designed to embrace South Florida’s tropical lifestyle.
The 4,471-square-foot residence recently received a Citation Award from the AIA Palm Beach Design Awards, for its exceptional architecture and design.

Brown continues to set the bar high in the local luxury market, breaking sales records for price per square foot.
He sold a renovated waterfront home at 913 South Lakeside Place in Lantana for $800 per square foot. And at 130 E. Hart Street for $500 per square foot.
His recent sale at 231 East Lantana Road, Unit 702, also set a record for a condo at $505 per square foot.
Coming soon is a new construction home at 5 Sailfish Lane in Ocean Ridge.
As a property owner and investor himself, Brown understands both the rewards and challenges that come with buying real estate.
“My wife and I own and manage Airbnb rental properties and have bought and sold properties in the area,” he said.
Because Brown is a real estate investor, he helps clients identify properties that will not only fit their lifestyle today but also grow in value.
That practical experience has proven invaluable for investors seeking opportunities in Palm Beach County’s competitive market.
Brown’s wife Rebecca is an interior designer whose expertise complements his real estate work. Together, they evaluate renovation opportunities, investment properties and development projects.
“Rebecca is brilliant when it comes to renovations and design. She has a great eye for helping people see the potential in a property.”
Many of Brown’s clients come through referrals, a testament to the trust he has built in the community. He listens carefully, understands individual goals and guide buyers toward sound decisions has become one of his defining strengths.
“Curtis goes above and beyond,” said client Brad Levine. “Over several years, I was able to accumulate several Intracoastal properties in Lantana. Curtis was instrumental in making this happen.”
Beyond real estate, Brown remains actively involved in local charitable and environmental causes. He sponsored an event supporting Wild Blue Sea, a marine conservation organization. He also supports Reel Fishing Charities, Surfers for Autism and Coastal Stewards.
Whether he’s helping investors identify opportunities or guiding buyers through the purchase of a dream home, Brown approaches everything with the same dedication.
For Captain Curtis Brown, success is measured not only by sales records and transactions, but by the relationships he builds along the way.
“I want my clients to make smart decisions and create wealth for their future. Helping people achieve their goals is the most rewarding part of what I do.”
