In the competitive world of luxury real estate, experience and strategy separate good agents from great ones. At Compass, Fabrikant and Abramson have built a stellar reputation because of their business acumen and powerful negotiating skills.
The two have decades of experience in real estate, sports representation, construction and business strategy. This impressive mix has proven a powerful advantage for buyers and sellers navigating the South Florida real estate market.
Licensed in California, New York, and Florida, Fabrikant has spent more than 40 years guiding clients through life’s most important decisions.
Fabricant’s experience was pivotal in creating his stellar reputation as a real estate pro who understands high-end real estate.
“I am an excellent negotiator,” said Fabrikant. “There is always a market price, and that price is what the buyer is willing to pay. If you have a great home in the right market, the right buyer is out there. You just have to wait for them.”
That philosophy has served him well. In one transaction in the Hamptons, Fabrikant got the highest price ever recorded for a home in the area after turning down a $1.2 million offer. His belief that patience and strategy can yield extraordinary results continues to guide him today.

South Florida, he believes, remains one of the most dynamic real estate markets in the country.
“The market is extremely strong now. Buyers are coming from all over the world to live from Miami to Palm Beach. It’s an incredible time to invest in this area.”
Fabrikant works with Alan Abramson. They both have real estate expertise with fresh energy and strategic marketing.
In his first year Abramson closed over $6 million in sales, even though the market was recovering from a recession.
“It’s a high-stakes game,” Abramson said. “Negotiation is an art and we approach every deal as experts. Strategizing with clients is tantamount to successful outcomes.”
Fabrikant spent 27 years working as an agent in the National Football League, representing professional athletes in contract negotiations. The stakes were enormous, and the pressure intense.

“NFL contracts keep going up and you have to negotiate for more. If you want to be a winner, you have to stay on top of the game. “
That experience translates perfectly to real estate negotiations. “In football, we represent the player while negotiating with the team. In real estate, we represent the buyer or the seller, but ultimately both sides have to agree. The goal is to make sure everyone wins, especially our clients.”
Abramson brings another important perspective to the team: construction expertise.
Before entering real estate, he spent 20 years as a contractor in Boston. This background gives him an acute understanding of the structural and financial realities of homes – invaluable for real estate buyers and sellers.
“Every word in a contract matters. One detail can affect a buyer or seller’s interests. Because of my construction experience, I understand how these details connect to the condition of a property,” said Abramson.
He can identify structural issues simply by examining a home. For buyers considering renovations, Abramson’s experience allows him to estimate costs and construction timelines.
“When you’re looking at an older home you have to think about what it would take to update it to current design trends,” he said. “Because I’ve built homes from the ground up, I can help clients create realistic budgets and understand the process.”
That insight can save buyers from costly surprises and help sellers prepare their homes to get maximum value.
“Sometimes I’ll walk through a home and identify five small issues that can easily be fixed. If you address those things before the listing, buyers will focus on the beauty of the property instead of looking for problems,” adds Abramson.
Marketing is another cornerstone of the team’s strategy.
Fabrikant believes strongly in “guerrilla marketing.” This relentless effort ensures their listings receive maximum visibility. The team also emphasizes professional presentations when listing properties. “If you don’t have the right images and the right copy, you’re not showing the true beauty and lifestyle of the home,” said Abramson.
To make properties even more compelling, Compass uses cutting-edge technology and tools to reach global buyers.
For Abramson and Fabrikant the foundation of their success lies in their experience, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to clients.
“Real estate is about trust. When someone hires you to represent their home (or help them buy one), they are trusting you with one of the most important decisions of their lives. Our job is to make sure they win.”
