FRAN HALL FINCH: Successful Luxury Real Estate SalesWith a Mandate of Marketing

At an age when many professionals are long retired, Fran Hall Finch is just getting started. With her understanding of real estate and finance Finch is making waves in the luxury real estate market in South Florida and beyond

At 75, she has become one of the most successful agents at SERHANT. Her success in luxury real estate is only the latest chapter in a long and accomplished professional life.

Before launching her real estate career, Finch spent nearly three decades in finance as a wealth manager and vice president at a high-profile financial company. She advised clients and managed significant portfolios. That career built the foundation for what she describes as her greatest professional assets – Trust.

“My professional experience in finance and my Gray Hair is my superpower. How much confidence does it take to have Gray hair? People trust me because of my life experience.”
Finch’s story is a powerful reminder that reinvention can happen at any age.

I moved to Florida in 2013 for my children’s tennis goals. They trained at South County with Sly Black (for two years) and then went to the Pro World in Delray at Pompey Park.

During the pandemic, in June of 2020 Finch took a real estate course online as a way of being productive.

While her children earned college scholarships, the move to South Florida created an unexpected turning point in her career.

I was semi-retired when I came to Florida. When the pandemic came, I realized I wanted to work again, but I didn’t want to go back to Wall Street.

So she didn’t. Instead, she got her real estate license and stepped into an entirely new profession.

That was five years ago, and Finch hasn’t looked back once. She is now thriving in the competitive world of luxury real estate with real estate company SERHANT.
Finch was attracted to the brokerage’s innovative marketing strategy and its celebrity founder, Ryan Serhant, known for the Netflix series “Owning Manhattan.”

“For me, marketing is everything. That’s what makes the difference between a property that sells quickly and one that sits,” she said.

In a market like Palm Beach County, where more than 50,000 homes might be listed for sale at any time, standing out is essential, said Finch. Her superpower is the creative marketing strategies that separate her from the competition.

“Other agents try to promote themselves,” she says. “I’m trying to promote the property.”
Her philosophy is simple but powerful: the Property and the Client come first.

That is why Finch’s marketing materials feature multiple luxury homes in one eye-catching page. The ads are sophisticated, modern and uncluttered, and attract buyers who want to see her luxury real estate listings.

Her approach has helped Finch sell high-end homes faster than other agents in the same market. She recently sold a property after one day on the market.

The genius in Finch’s approach is that the client always comes first. “It’s always about the needs and desires of my clients. From their lifestyle needs to their desired needs and wants.”

This client-first philosophy has earned her repeat business and loyal relationships with buyers and sellers.

Peter Brennan, CEO and President of Brennan Development LLC, sees Finch’s as a superstar in the real estate business.

“With Fran Finch, it’s about hard work meets southern charm. She handles herself as a true professional and gets the job done. People like Fran are hard to find. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to work with her.”

Beyond real estate transactions, Finch has also become an active supporter of the local community.

She is involved with the annual Delray Home Tour benefiting Achievement Centers for Children & Families. Last month, the popular event showcased luxury dream homes in the Lake Ida neighborhood. The purpose is to raise funds for the nonprofit’s programs serving local children and families.

Finch was the luncheon sponsor for the event and one of the homes she sold was featured on the tour.

The homes highlighted this year are all located in the coveted Lake Ida neighborhood, known for its charm, waterfront views and eclectic architecture.

For Finch, supporting the tour reflects the same philosophy she brings to her work.
“Real estate is about community, it’s about helping people find a place where they can build their lives.”

Finch’s focus on relationships also echoes the values she imbibed in her successful financial career.

“I’m traditional. My word is my bond. I believe in honesty, being straightforward and doing what you say you’re going to do.”

Those qualities, combined with what she calls “old-world elegance and trust,” resonate with clients who value experience and professionalism in their luxury real estate transactions.
Finch also collaborates with respected builders such as Brennan Development.

Her listings also feature premier homes designed by prominent builders and architects. This gives her an opportunity to combine sophisticated marketing with carefully curated properties.

While many agents rely heavily on personal branding, Finch remains firmly focused on the homes themselves. That strategy, she says, reflects a deeper belief about her work.

“The property tells the story,” Finch says. “My job is to make sure people see it.”

For someone who entered the field later in life, Finch has embraced the fast-paced world of modern real estate with enthusiasm and intention.

She believes her greatest advantage is the perspective that only life experience can bring. “People trust me because I’ve lived a full life. I’ve been through markets going up and down. I’ve worked with clients in finance for years. That experience really matters.”
It sure does.

Her message to others considering a career change later in life is simple: don’t hesitate. “It’s never too late to reinvent yourself. If you bring integrity, hard work and passion to what you do, success will follow.”
